Holly Holidays

Taking the photos is one thing, but making the time to put them into albums is the BEST part!! I tend to take a ton of photos and enjoy sorting through them, and choosing the best ones to add into my albums. The photo is always the priority but the process of creating the layouts and turning it into artwork is SO fulfilling!

Which is another reason why I love creating with cut files!! I was able to customize this Holly Background cut file to be the central focus of my background. I love this holly one especially! It was a lot of fun to choose the papers and add some glossy accents to the berries to make it really pop.

I adhered the cut file flat to my patterned paper and attached the berries with foam dots and then applied the glossy accents. I then set it aside to dry while I sorted through the ephemera assortment. This entire layout was created using the Evergreen & Holly Creative Kit and the coordinating Add On kit.

I printed out this photo of my siblings and I with my grandma in black & white so the colours in the picture wouldn’t clash with the gorgeous palette of the collection. This is something I like to do when I have the perfect Creative Kit for your photos, but maybe the colours aren’t a great match.
