You’re the Best

Hi Everyone! When I saw this Geometric Cut file from the May 2022 release, I had an idea to create a mixed media 12 x12 layout incorporating several patterned papers from Vicki Boutin’s Fernwood Collection.

When creating layouts, I like to mix and match papers to create my background, but still making sure that the Cut file is the focal point, as well as the picture!

I fussy cut florals from one paper and adhered them to one another. For added dimension and depth I like to use Scrapbook Adhesives Large Foam Squares to make the elements pop up from the page.  I used Tombow Liquid Glue to adhere the Geometric Grid Cut file on an angle for a visual look.

Then I inked my main patterned paper and backed it on a piece of 12 x 12 black Cardstock.  I added white splatters of acrylic paint and Nuovo drops to a few of the floral centers.  My title is an Acrylic Stamp.  I also stamped small butterflies around my page. I then added black/white ric rac and black/white polk-a-dot tissue.
