Welcome Our Fall Guest Mari

HELLO FALL

Hello friends, it’s Mari Clarke here! I am so excited to be guest designing with Jennifer Edwardson’s gorgeous cut file designs this month!

The Hello Fall Cut File Bundle is full of gorgeous autumn inspired images that are so versatile. I used some elements from the bundle, including the Hello Fall title and the adorable mushrooms to create this 12×12 layout.

I backed all the cut files with papers from the Vicki Boutin Fernwood collection. This colour palette compliments the fall colors in the 4×3 photo perfectly. The base for the layout is a piece of 12×12 white cardstock. The dot and ledger papers are cut to 10×10 and 9×9.

The sweet little mushroom trio is a perfect element for adding to the horizontal line created by the scallop border cut file. I cut all the designs from white cardstock, so the patterned papers pop perfectly!

The “Hello Fall” element creates the perfect title piece at the top of the layout! I added gold shimmer spray to the letters and then added them back in with foam adhesive to give them some dimension.

FINAL TOUCHES

I also added some machine stitching to the layout to add extra texture and interest. This little leaf cluster is the perfect layering element to this embellishment cluster I chose.

I love how the horizontal border piece at the bottom of the project is the perfect grounding element! I finished off the layout with some journaling strips and ink splatters in white and gold!
