FUR FAMILY

by Kristen Rizzo

Hello, it’s Kristen and I’m back to share a 12×12 single-page layout using one of the Dog Cut File Bundle from the Jennifer Edwardson Creative Digital Shop featuring the “Cooper” line from Bella Blvd.

After cutting out the entire cut file bundle and selecting which cut files I was going to use on my layout, I selected patterned papers from the 6×6 paper pad to back the files with.

I knew I wanted to do a grid-style layout using a photo of my three fur babies and me.  The first paper I selected was the cloud paper and cut that down to 10×10.  I cut four different patterned papers to 4×4 and added a border to the square in the lower left-hand corner.  I had a scrap of the star paper that was 2×5, so I cut that in half and mounted it to the top of my white cardstock. Then I started to build my page by adding the could paper on top of that.

Next, I glued the 4×4 squares down. The square in the upper right-hand corner is popped up with foam squares.  The cloud paper and two 4×4 squares on top of my layout needed something extra, so I added a little doodling around the edges and red baker’s twine to the 4×4 square in the lower left-hand corner.   I also popped up the dog face and “Our Fur Family” cut files, for added depth and dimension.

It was very easy to finish the layout off with all the embellishments from this collection.  I added flowers, enamel hearts, enamel dots and some ephemera.  For another little added touch, I added the orange pom-pom ribbon.  I also added some Dylusions Ink Spray in the colour Melted Chocolate to my embellishment clusters for added interest.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

XOXO – Kristin
