Summer Frames Double Layout

Is it August already or Julying to me?! 😂

I know…my kids groan at my ‘Mom’ jokes too, it’s ok. But Happy August crafty peeps! It’s Andie back on the blog today with a double page layout celebrating Summer.

The new SUMMER and VACAY Frames cut files from this month’s release caught my eye right away! And this layout was totally built around the largest cut of ‘SUMMER’ I could get on my 12×12 Cricut mat.

I added in the new Viewfinder cut file as well and turned it into a colour wheel… but there is so much you could do with it. How cute would little thumbnail photos look?!!

I started with the Summer Frames cut file by covering the bottom part and inking each letter a different colour to match the paper I used. Then I added in the photos to each frame and matted them onto red Color Vibe textured cardstock. I adhered the whole piece using 3D foam.

The Viewfinder cut file was fun to turn into a colour wheel to match all the colours in the paper collection. It made for a great highlighting embellishment to tuck behind the main cut file piece on this layout. The black circle in the middle I just doodled by hand.
