Thanksgiving Frame

by Heather Fischer

Hi crafty friends!! I love decorating my home for Fall…and adding touches of handmade decor is a must!!

This year, I wanted to create something using some of the new Fall cut files.  And I chose to create this framed image to display on my mantle.

I used the New Thanksgiving Title cut file from the October release. I also used some images from the New Autumn Elements cut file bundle!

For the background, I chose some Fall themed papers and coordinating elements. Using the Pumpkin icon from the Autumn elements bundle, I measured out my space and enlarged the image to place as my focal point, which I cut out it in a dark brown paper and backed it with coordinating papers.

I used the Thanksgiving cut file for my title and cut it from white cardstock and then used some Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink to add a subtle warm brown tone to it.  I also cut a leaf and the acorn from the Autumn Elements bundle to layer amongst my title. 🍁

To add more interest to this home decor project, I also added some fabric leaves and fussy cut leaves from the patterned paper collection.

I hope this project inspires you to utilize the amazing cut files in creative new ways like this “off the page” project and add some of your amazing creations to your home!

Happy Fall y’all 😉

Stay crafty,

Heather
