Go Your Own Way Layout

Hi crafty friends! I’m back on the blog to share my latest creative team layout using one of the new July cut files!  I chose to use the title “Go Your Own Way” from the Simple Title Cut File Bundle. There’s SO many great titles in this bundle!!  You know I’ll be sharing more inspiration on these to come 😉

I have this great picture of my boys walking together along a path from a camping trip that we took a couple years ago.  They’ve changed a lot since then, as they’re now the same height! It continues to warm my heart when I see them interacting and genuinely enjoying each other’s company ❤️. These are the moments I definitely want to document!!

Immediately when I saw this new cut file bundle, I knew this title would work so well with this picture. It speaks to the emotions of watching my boys grow into men and choosing their own path in life… “Go Your Own Way” boys xoxoxo

To create this background, I used an older cut file, the Leaf Background Cut File, and cut it in white to layer on my white background paper for a subtle bit of dimension.

To ensure this title really stood out, I cut it in black and backed it with a bold pattern from the paper collection.  I chose to print this picture in black & white which always helps to ensure it doesn’t conflict with any of the colours in the paper collection, and it also adds to the “mood” of the layout.  I matted it with some Color Vibe cardstock and adhered it at an angle to my title. 

To finalize this layout I placed some assorted pieces from the paper collection to add lots of visual interest!  This is just another reason for creating your projects using the Creative Kits…ensuring everything coordinates perfectly!!
