Christmas Cards

Tis’ the season to be crafty!!

Hi friends!  I’m back on the blog today with another festive project…Christmas Cards! This set of cards was created using some of the new December cut files. I used elements from the new Nutcracker Cut File and the Build A Snowman Cut File bundle.

The best part about a cut file is that they are so easy to customize to suit your needs!!  I love to use them for my layouts, cards, home decor and even vinyl projects!

For these cards, I simply sized them to fit my card fronts. To create each card, I used the fabulous Evergreen & Holly Creative Kit as well as the coordinating Add on Kit. I also used the exclusive Jennifer Edwardson Simply Christmas Clear Stamp set for some background stamping and the stamped sentiment on two of the cards! These stamp images are the perfect size for cards!

Included in the Add On kit, is a set of stencils which I used to create the backgrounds to each card, some with ink and some with a paste. Then I utilized the cut files and some ephemera to create each unique handmade Christmas cards…handmade is the Best! 😉

The Snowman was cut from white cardstock which I then backed portions of it with patterned paper. For the body of the snowman, I backed with vellum so you could still see the fun background.

The gifts cut file element was cut from a gold cardstock then backed with some of the specialty vellum from the Add on Kit. And the Merry Christmas title element was cut from some patterned paper and simply adhered to the stencilled background!

I hope these cards inspire you to play with this fantastic creative kit and get crafty with the new cut files for all your festive projects!

Stay crafty,

Heather
