Do you love to create special bags and boxes for holidays ?! Do you like to wrap your gifts with a theme in mind ?! Or do you recycle some of them year after year ?!

I absolutely LOVE making the packaging that treats and gifts come in, just as special as what is inside … AND some of them are kept from year to year and re-used over and over !!

Simple Stories NEW Simple Vintage October 31st Collection is perfect for my taste. I love vintage and nostalgic EVERYTHING and the designs in this paper collection are fabulous.

Personally I found all of the pieces very easy to create with! I was able to make these bags and boxes quite quickly once I started !

I love getting out some of my tools that i’ve had for quite some time but don’t use often, like my Big Shot and Embossing Folders ! They are great for using to add texture to all kinds of bags. I had some smaller white lunch bags, a handled bag and a glassine bag too !

They all run through the embossing machine really well and come out withe such great patterns. For these ones i used a crackle pattern, chevron and stars !!

I pulled out a few punches as well, both shape and border, and added some detail to a few of the patterned papers and punched out some of the ‘Cut Aparts’ to add some fun layered embellishment to each of the bags and boxes !!

I love to use a pillow box to give small treats or gift cards and you can easily make your own and use a corrugated roller to add dimension too !! You can find a great pillow box template HERE !!

These small white Chinese Food Boxes are one of my most fave boxes to decorate !! They are super for candies and snacks, and also for small gifts as well !! I love adding strips of Washi Tape to the handle … such a cute little finishing touch !!

All in all, these took me roughly an hour to put together and now I am ready to fill them with treats for Halloween! And even though my kids are not little anymore, they STILL love to get these types of decorated packages (or at least they tell me they do and that makes me happy LOL !!!)

I hope this gives you a little inspiration to dig out some paper crafting supplies and add a little creativity to any boxes and bags you’ve got around your home too !!
