ONE Cut File TWO Ways

“Hike More Worry Less” by Kristin Rizzo

This is SUCH a fabulous way to make use of ALL your supplies when you use one of our Cut Files !!

Check out Kristin’s process below !!

Background & Photo Mats
I used the Leaf Background Cut File (shopjenniferedwardson.com) with a sheet of watercolor paper. Once I cut the cutfile (regular cardstock) from my Silhouette, I laid it down on the watercolor paper. I gathered as many fall colored mists as I could in my stash (Color Shine, Oxide, Tattered Angels, etc) and started spraying my mists (lightest color first) until I achieved a look I like.

There is no way to do this incorrectly. Once dry, I set the cutfile aside to use on another layout. I added strips of yellow patterned paper from Simple Stories to the top and bottom of the layout and some twine to the top for some extra texture.

TITLE
I used the Happy Trails Cut File Bundle (shopjenniferedwardson.com) – specifically, the “Hike More Worry Less” title. I backed the cutfile with papers from the Howdy Creative Kit (shopjenniferedwardson.com) – I just ADORE this kit. It’s extremely versatile and the colors are amazing!

EMBELLISHMENTS
For the journaling, I used my 1960’s vintage typewriter (this is my favorite way to journal) and cut the journaling up into smaller bits and ink the edges with a brown ink. I used a scrap of woodgrain patterned paper from the Howdy Creative Kit and turned that into my “Happy Trails” sign and added yellow gems, Prima flowers and leaves (that I cut from a metal die) from my stash. To finish the layout, I used red Thickers from The Little Things Creative Kit (shopjenniferedwardson.com).

THANK YOU KRISTIN … love this SO much !!

Until Next Time … j. XOX
