Groovy Card Set

Hi Friends! I’m thrilled to be back on the blog this month! Hopefully wherever you are, you are getting a bit of Summer. The jumping off point for my Groovy Card set was the Groovy Cut File Bundle and Chevron Background Cut File, which are both new Cut File releases for July, as well as the Life’s A Party Creative Kit. If you haven’t gotten your hands these, you’ll want to, as they give major retro vibes! All the links to the supplies I’ve used are at the bottom of the post!

From the Life’s a Party Creative Kit, I chose one of the patterned papers to back the ‘Hello’ word from the Groovy Cut File Bundle. Also from the Groovy Cut File Bundle, I cut the flower with a peace sign out of an aqua blue coloured card-stock piece. I couldn’t resist cutting the Chevron Background Cut File out of a piece of white card-stock for layering it in behind the other elements.

For the base of the card front, I chose three different patterned papers out of the Life’s A Party Creative Kit to layer together. Once the patterned papers were distressed and adhered, I layered on the Chevron Background piece.

To finish the card front, I chose an element out of the ephemera pieces from the Life’s A Party Creative Kit to layer on top of the chevron background. Once the element was adhered, I adhered the flower and foam squares and the ‘Hello’ to the middle of the element.

From the Life’s a Party Creative Kit, I chose one of the aqua coloured patterned papers to back the VW Van cut from the Groovy Cut File Bundle. I also took a strip of the left-over chevron background and cut out the peace sign border from the Groovy Cut File Bundle.

For the base of the card front, I chose three different patterned papers out of the Life’s A Party Creative Kit to layer together. I distressed and adhered the patterned papers together. With the papers adhered, I placed on the chevron background and peace sign strip to the middle of the card front. I used foam squares behind the VW Van to adhere it to the middle of the card front.

To finish the card front, I chose one of the word strip stickers from the sticker sheet to adhere to the bottom of the van as well as some of the stars to place around the van as desired.
