Family Moments

As scrapbookers and the story tellers for ourselves and our families, it’s so important to get these special moments and photos documented with love and care! I may be stepping back in time with older photos but I continue to do this to ensure my children’s albums are complete & tell THEIR story. 💛
For this layout I used the NEW Floral Circle Background Cut file as the feature for the background! A Cut File will always add dimension and interest! I choose the Hearth & Home Creative Kit along with the Hearth & Home Add on Kit. I just love the warm and subtle colours of this collection!
To allow the background paper to stand out, I choose to back just some of the cut file. I then sanded the edges of the background paper, mounted on a darker patterned paper and used plenty of the kit’s embellishments as well as fussy cut some of the flowers from one of the included patterned papers… yes fussy cutting is not everyone’s favourite thing to do but it can really stretch your collections. 😉
Creating clusters of embellishments is a great way to add visual interest and composition to your pages! Plus there’s so many great pieces in the kits, you want to use as much as possible! My photo is highlighted using one of the frames from the Add On Kit, and I love being able to incorporate these amazing frames as much as possible.
