SNOW DOG

Hello Crafty Friends !

Here is YYC (Calgary), winter is in full force and even though most of the Christmas crafty items have been put away, the winter collections are on my desk and ready to document all the snow filled memories !

This picture of our new puppy, Lola, was taken shortly after we brought her home in November and she got to experience her first taste of winter … a little snowfall to play in !

I’m so glad we were able to capture this memory of her with some beautiful snowflakes on her precious little face !!

I wanted this layout to fully embrace the snowflake theme and winter feels, so I was quick to choose this Snowflake Background Cut File !

Before removing it from my Silhouette cutting mat, I inked it withe a couple shades of blue Distress Oxide Ink and then adhered it to a piece of patterned vellum, before attaching to my background which was created using assorted papers from the Simple Stories Winter Wonder Collection !

This gorgeous Cut File really pops with the ink blending against the patterned papers …. i highly recommend this technique !! I also have the snowflake cut outs to use on another layout too !

Using a Cut File as part of your background is one of the many ways to create a very unique look … one which I do often for the visual impact it adds !!

Be sure to add this Cut File to your library and don’t forget to capture all those winter memories …

Stay Crafty … Heather
