Love Your Selfie

Happy Summer, crafty peeps! I’m glad to be on the blog today sharing a layout I made using the new Little Moments Cut File Bundle.

When I saw the “Love Your Selfie” quote in this bundle I knew I had to use it! I had some selfies I’d printed with my new glasses – something we can easily become self-conscious about, so even more perfect for the quote !!

I used The Good Stuff creative kit and matched the colours with ink pads I had on hand. I started with a plain white cardstock base and brushed each colour of ink pad across the cardstock. Then I trimmed down the cardstock to 11.5″ x 11.5″ and adhered to a pattern piece of paper. So my base layout began like so:

*Ignore the lines through the ink swipes – when you try this be sure your paper isn’t laying on the crease of your folding table! LOL!

To complete my layout and back the cut files, I used The Good Stuff creative kit and creative kit Add On. I just love the colours in this kit and the hint of retro to it while still being quite versatile.

In addition to the Love Your Selfie element, I topped it with the polaroid camera from the Little Moments Cut File Bundle as well – they went so well together as a giant stacked title.

I chose to cut out the cut files from black cardstock, I felt this gave it a more dramatic, bold look. To tie in the black, I added some black ink splats in the background too. I then used 3D foam squares to raise the title and camera.
