Drizzled Hearts Layout

How is it February already? And would you agree the best part of February is that it isn’t January?!

Lol, ok it is also the month of love, so there is that.

It’s Andie on the blog today, sharing some love with a layout of my daughter and I on my first Mother’s Day.

I used the Happy Hearts Creative Kit – that you can get on SALE HERE! and I paired it with the new February Hearts Background Cut File you can purchase HERE.

This cut file had me wishing I had more Valentine’s Day photos of hubby and I because the hearts look so much like chocolate drizzled strawberries – perfect for a V-Day date night, right?!  They do look fabulous backed with some pattern paper though.

The metal precision tip for the Art Glitter Glue made it easy to back the hearts with different pattern papers.  I don’t use liquid glue often so I’m a mess with it, lol, but this glue dries quick and clear so no one but me knows how messy it got!

I cut out the drizzle part of one heart to fill with the floral pattern heart. I loved the way it stands out and draws the eye to the title.

For the four hearts behind the photo I decided to back them with a solid textured cardstock; to act almost like a second mat to the photo & make it stand out more amongst all the other patterns.

So many incredible embellishments with this Happy Hearts Creative Kit, it was easy to add little bits here and there to complete the layout.  The one perfect bit to add for me though, was the “love you to the moon & back” as it’s been a phrase I’ve said to both my kids since their birth.

I added some faux stitching around the photo mat and raised the photo, and a few of the embellishments, with 3D Foam adhesive. and some black enamel dots to finish it all off.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today and I hope February brings you nothing but LOVE – and maybe some chocolate drizzled strawberries!

Andie XO
