Coffee Anyone ?!

Happy Day to you all!  We are not big coffee drinkers in our house, however Paige, my youngest daughter, has a real love for all the other drinks at Starbucks. So when I saw the Coffee Cut File Bundle I knew exactly what I wanted to scrap with them.

PICKING PAPERS

I cut the two larger cup cut file images out from the bundle and backed them with some bright, fun colours. I tried to match the pink/purple colour of the drink that Paige is holding in the photos. The colours in the Life’s A Party Creative Kit would be perfect for this layout. It has some bright fun colours and the patterns would look wonderful backed onto the cut files.

When cutting my cut files, I use American Crafts white cardstock, but I flip it over and have the smooth not the textured side, facing up. I like the flat look of the cardstock but can’t go past the quality of American Crafts.

What I love about using cut files on my layouts is that I can use patterned papers and embellishments that I already have at home. It is the perfect way to bust that stash!

SHAKE IT

For the insert of the “Love” coffee cup, I first backed the area where the love goes with some clear plastic. I then sprinkled some glitter and small coloured flowers onto the plastic and backed it again with some white cardstock, creating a flat shaker element. I love how it looks and how you can move the layout around to make the page more interactive.

To finish off the layout, I added some flower die cuts and more glitter and small plastic flowers scattered around.
