Canada Day Double Layout

by Andie Green

Hello crafty people, Andie here on the blog today to share my Canada Day double layout.

I found some photos of the first Canada Day celebration my daughter went to.  I loved the rush of memories they brought back – which is exactly why we scrapbook, right?!

The Happy Canada Day Cut File was a perfect stand-out element for this layout.  I backed it with some Bazzill Dotted Swiss cardstock to add some nice texture.  Check out all the colours of Dotted Swiss HERE.

I used an older creative kit, Some Days, full of Pink Fresh products.  I loved the mix of bold, geometric patterns with soft floral ones, they mixed so well with my pink loving little girl as well as the bold red Canada Day title/theme. Even her Dad’s hockey jersey blends in!

I love layering up embellishments and papers, and this kit had plenty to work with, as all of Jennifer’s creative kits do. Using 3D foam to pop up some photos and embellishments is a great way to tuck in more elements, layer up, and give texture and add depth to your layouts.  Oh, and to use up those last remaining pieces in your kits!!

I added a single maple leaf from the Canada Day Cut File Bundle, which I also backed with the red Dotted Swiss cardstock to balance out the double layout and make the Canada Day elements the main focal points.

How ever you spend Canada Day this year, be sure to check out all the great cut files Jennifer created to help document your celebrations!

Happy Scrappin’! 🌼

Andie
