Education is at the core of what we do at Jennifer Edwardson Creative. Knowledge and growth opportunities in any industry is ever changing and evolving, and this is true in the types of classes and workshops that are offered by Jennifer !
Over the years our classroom has changed and adapted to fit the lifestyle of our clients, and Jennifer has worked hard to keep her growth at the forefront of her career, to be able to offer you all the best of what is available in the industries within our brand.
Crafting
We began offering paper crafting workshops in a small room at the back of our first storefront, a tiny house in Parksville, BC. We expanded into a larger room in our second location and then something different again for our 3rd brick and mortar store ! Simultaneously, Jennifer began offering workshops off site. That included local businesses, private homes, non-profit organizations, conference centers and more …
Throughout these years, Jennifer took every opportunity to attend industry trade shows and conferences to be sure she was on top of her game, while staying up to date on trends with manufacturers as well !
In April 2020, Jennifer obtained a crash course in Virtual Workshops. With ‘stay at home’ orders in place worldwide, she reached out to every available online resource to teach herself how to pivot, and have Jennifer Edwardson Creative become an online educational company. At the time we didn’t know how long we would be spending our time together remotely, and it has since become one of the driving forces in the growth of our brand.

Paint
With the constant changes in both the economy and the crafting industry, in July of 2021, Jennifer became a Retailer of what quickly has become a very important part of our brand, Fusion Mineral Paint.
Having been an avid recreational furniture artist for many years, Jennifer jumped in with both feet and all her paint brushes, to learn everything she could about this exciting manufacturer.
Fusion Mineral Paint is a Canadian, family owned, female driven company that quickly has become one of the top Furniture Paint companies worldwide ! Their product is extremely high quality, and is the perfect paint for both professionals and weekend DIY’ers alike.
While Jennifer’s own experience spanned decades, she was hungry for education in this new world of becoming a paint merchant ! FMP and their parent company, Homestead House, offered exceptional virtual training, which has been instrumental in the success of Fusion Mineral Paint and Jennifer Edwardson Creative on Vancouver Island and beyond.
Most recently, Jennifer had the opportunity to travel to a Fusion Mineral Paint Conference in Ontario and enjoyed hands on instruction from the Founder and Owners of FMP and Homestead House, as well as the Owners and Manufacturers of her most favorite brushes, Staalmeester from the Netherlands !
The continued education that Jennifer prides herself on, is what makes taking a workshop with her a great choice ! You will be certain to head home with the confidence to trust your own creativity when taking on a new project for your home !
