‘Miranda’ by Kristin Rizzo
Ok … let’s talk concerts. How many of you are like me and go to concerts and take ALL the pics ?! I literally start taking photos as soon as we begin getting ready and then continue to take them (and some videos too of course) all the way through the concert until the bitter end …
Then what ?! Do you scrapbook them all ?! Make them all into 12 x 12″ layouts ?! I usually create a couple of single pages, sometimes a double and then a few pocket pages too … we LOVE live music and the stories surrounding seeing some of our fave musicians perform live are so important to me to get into our albums !
Kristin clearly is on the same page as I am … you will see throughout this month how she is documenting some of her fave concerts too … here are a few notes from Kristin about creating this fabulous layout !!
I worked with the Howdy Creative Kit to create my projects this month … the map paper was the perfect background patterned paper for the red and brown boot. I tore the map paper and back it with scraps leftover from when I cut the cowboy boot. I popped the brown base/map paper on foam and adhered it to red AC cardstock.
For the journaling, I used my old, vintage 1960’s typewriter and cut them into strips and mounted them on the wood grain washi … the Thickers are from my stash and coordinated perfectly !!
This boot … isn’t it just THE best !!! It is from the Rodeo Cut File Bundle and has SO many great elements !!
For this layout, I enlarged it to approximately 9.5” tall prior to cutting it out of the Simple Stories cardstock.
I love brown and red as a color combo and knew that once I cut the boot out I wanted to back it with red glitter paper.
For the bottom of the boot, I chose the adorable red check and dark brown and then the entire boot is back with foam pop dots … it is the perfect focal point for this fun layout !!
You can check out another fun Double Page Layout featuring one of my fave concerts HERE !!
